一是综合和英译汉实务，需要积累大量消极词汇，例如 disorientation, absurd, abuse, forge, enhance, flammable。在综合科目中，不仅要能知道词汇含义，还要能做一定的辨析。在实务英译汉中，则要能根据上下文合理翻译。
二是汉译英实务，主要需要积累时政和能源、工业、经贸、科技、人文等方面的词汇。例如“改革开放”“积极推动”“冶金工业”“勘查、设计、施工”等。

一般来说，准备CATTI考试需要一定的水平，不然会非常痛苦。词汇量太小，不仅实务考试满篇生词查不完，综合考试往往也过不了。所以有时间还是要记忆单词，用自己觉得有效的方式。
